Sales Team

During November, the Syracuse Convention & Visitors Bureau booked five events with an estimated travel spending of $2.5 million. Multiple property convention bookings included:

  • United Methodist Association: The SCVB booked their 2012 National Convention which will use approximately 475 room nights and draw 1,900 attendees to Syracuse.
  • Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated: The SCVB also booked the fraternity’s Second District Conference that will use 700 room nights and bring 600 attendees to Syracuse in 2010.

Sales Missions

  • The Syracuse Convention & Visitors Bureau partnered with local hotel properties to distribute holiday gifts of local Paul deLima coffee to meeting planners in the Albany area. Syracuse sales representatives gave the gifts to more than 30 highly qualified, high potential clients prior to the Empire State Society of Association Executives (ESSAE) holiday party in early December.

  • United States Tennis Association: The SCVB serviced the association’s Boys and Girls Under 14 National Tennis Championship by providing each participant with welcome gifts, pertinent information about Syracuse, as well as Thanksgiving Day dinner options.
