Chamber Wins Regional AwardOn September 30, at the University Continuing Education Association Mid Atlantic Region Annual Conference, the Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce and its partners were given the 2009 Best Business/Industry/Government Linkage Award for its Contextualized Workplace Literacy Program. Our partners include the Work Keys Center at Syracuse University, OCM BOCES, Partners in Learning, Literacy Volunteers of Greater Syracuse, Anaren Microwave, ICM Controls, St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center and Loretto. In June, the Chamber also won the CNY BEST Organizational Award given by the CNY chapter of the American Society for Training and Development for the same program.
